D'Addario Pro Arté Dynacore Classical Guitar String | Out of STOCK

DynaCore are D'Addario's newest classical string innovation and are made with a unique combination of materials that enhance longevity, tone and pitch stability. D'Addario estimates they last 2 to 3 times longer than traditional strings. My experience is the tone stays fresh about twice as long as traditional nylon strings.

D'Addario Pro-Arté DynaCore basses are made with an exclusive multifilament stranded core material and revolutionary winding techniques. The result is a unique and contemporary tone: rich, round and full with dramatically improved string life, tuning stability and consistency. D'Addario claims these are the brightest sounding of their premium strings but in reality they have a sweet round voice, but with a little edge or bite. They are long sustaining and mellow compared to flamenco strings (e.g., wound 3rd string and recitified trebles). Basically Dynacore is slightly brighter relative to the Composites, EXP and original Pro-Arté (EJ45) strings.

The DynaCore basses are complimented by T2 Titanium trebles for optimal tonal balance. Additionally, each treble string is laser sorted for intonation consistency. The T2 Titanium treble strings are crafted from a dense monofilament material. T2 treble strings have a polished, smooth feel similar to nylon, but with a slightly brighter tone and increased projection. As a result, the T2 Titanium treble strings may be substituted for nylon guitar strings with little or no player acclimation. The string surface is tougher and less prone to fingernail wear or scratching.

Unlike traditional nylon strings, the multifilament stranded core material based 4th, 5th and 6th strings only require a few cranks to arrive at pitch, so listen carefully when installing or you may break your first set! They also stretch much less. The Titanium trebles are close to nylon elasticity and require the usual dozen cranks to come to pitch. However, they stretch out and stabilize a little more quickly than nylon trebles.

I've been using DynaCore strings on my Hirade and Ramirez guitars since early 2012 and must say they are now my favorites. Proudly made in USA.

D'Addario Pro Arté Composites Classical Guitar Strings | Out of STOCK

Composites are D'Addario's first high tech departure from nylon core basses and use a unique combination of materials designed to enhance string longevity and pitch stability. D'Addario estimates they last 2 to 3 times longer than traditional strings. My experience is the tone stays "fresh" about twice as long as traditional nylon strings. Composite sets have a slightly brighter tone than the EXP and original Pro-Arté (EJ45) strings.

D'Addario Arté Composite Classical Guitar Strings feature polymer core, silver-plated wrapped bass strings and nylon trebles. Both nylon and polymer G strings included. Personally I prefer the slightly brighter tone of the polymer G string, but in case you don't, D'Addario has you covered. Unlike nylon, the polymer G string never seems to wear out and is highly resistent to abrasion from player fingernails.

Unlike traditional nylon strings, the polymer based 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th strings only require a few cranks to arrive at pitch, so listen carefully when installing. They also stretch less. The 1st and 2nd strings are standard nylon and require the usual dozen cranks to come to pitch. Made in USA.

D'Addario Extended Play Pro Arté Classical Guitar Strings | Out of STOCK

Extended Play strings are similar in design and materials to the Composites described above. What's the difference? The bass strings are coated to further enhance longevity and the extra polymer G string is not included. D'Addario estimates EXP sets last 3 to 4 times longer than standard nylon Pro-Arté (EJ45).

So why bother with Composites when Extended Play last longer? That's a question only you can answer, but I have a few thoughts. Composites ship with both a polymer and nylon G string while the Extended Play only have the standard G. I prefer the polymer G. Also, there is a small difference in tone. The Extended Play basses are mellower while the Composites have a little more bite. In other words the coating makes Extended Play sound slightly played in. Finally, the coating does little to defeat the wear of frets against the string. A heavy touch will grind through the string just as fast, coating or no coating. However if you have a light left hand touch, these basses will really last. Finally, if you have sweaty tone killing mitts, the coating makes a major different in tone life.

Here's how the coating enhances bass string life: An ultra-fine layer of EXP coating is bonded to silver-plated wire which is then wound onto the polymer core. The result is a built-in barrier against corrosion. And since the EXP coating is added to the wrap wire prior to winding, the strings sound fresh and bright longer. Made in USA.

D'Addario Pro Arté Classical Guitar Strings | Out of STOCK

Traditional high quality silver-plated wound strings with clear nylon trebles for old school players, mellow tone lovers and those on a budget. Laser-selected treble strings and computer wound bass strings for perfect consistency and quality. The most mellow voiced of all Pro-Arté strings. In the 1980s and early 90s, these strings were the ones to beat and by any standard they are still excellent in tone and value. Made in USA.
