Old Dock Pilings | Bandon, Oregon

Long view into the Coquille River just off Bandon's Old Town. Decaying pilings are one of my favorite subjects. This image was taken an hour before a dramatic sunset. It was heavily overcast and I figured the sweet light was done for the day. Of course I was wrong.

When you cross northbound over the California-Oregon border, Bandon is the first really nice village: waterfront old town and a friendly small town atmosphere. Definitely worth a couple day stay to enjoy the town and surrounding areas.
